Yep after starting 2010 with a much enjoyed week in the studio here is a little something that i knocked up, originally written to a bootleg vocal and then decided i quite liked it as it was!
Came accross this the other day – some more from the past with a fantastic video of the Stereophonic Circus show – The Dub Circus Experiment at Shambala festival 2004. The recording of the track from the Onega Soundsystem is a little ropey im afraid but the video is awsome nevertheless – might have to dig it out
I have been digging around the Onega vaults recently and came across this remix that i did of one of our Live tracks from about 2006.
Originally this was performed live as a four piece with MPC, Synths, Guitars and samplers.
There will be a few more of these to come of the next few weeks.
A few months ago Onega had the privilege of being asked to perform at top Bristol night Drawn. This Bristol collective bring the worlds of music, visuals and art together in a great combination.
Drawn Recordings has put together a compilation containing many of the artists from these nights and yep you guessed it Onega has a track on it.
So get your self over to the Drawn website and grab a copy of this fantastic compilation and marvel at the breadth of the Bristol talent.
Well its been a while since I last managed to post something up here (I just checked and the last was a new year post!). Anyway while I may not have been very prolific in terms of updates both in the news and the music, plenty has been going on behind the scenes. Musicwise things took a little slowdown this time last year as I moved house, studio and had a baby!
I now have my new studio set up and this is probably the best one I have had (apart from Sandpit studio of course). Finally all the gear is up and running and I have managed to knock out quite a few tracks (will be uploading edits v soon).
The big bit of work for this year so far is the Remix for Damien S that features the vocal talents of Marcie. Damien very kindly gave me the oppottunity to try a remix for them to offer something a little different. Well I managed to find the time to get it done and is now available to buy from Beatport on Loverush digital.
